Fine Art Prints of Sunset paintings

The original canvas is 24″ x 30″. Prints are created with archival inks on German etching art paper, usually Hahnemühle brand, though at times I’ve substituted equivalent brightness and thickness in other papers.

The paper size is 24″ x 30″. This will fit in a 24″ x 30″ frame. The image print size is 21″ x 26.25″, centered. This leaves a 1-1/2″ border around the 24″ edge, and 1-7/8″ border at the 30″ side.

The print is signed and dated at bottom left and bottom right respectively.

The print can be placed in a 24″ x 30″ frame without matt, or matted with a slight offset to expose the signature. The prints are shipped rolled and are sold unframed.

Fine Art Prints of the “A Painting, A Day paintings

These are smaller paintings – 12″ x 16″ and 9″ x 12″. The reproductions are actual size, with a border around the prints, printed in archival inks on Hahnemühle or equivalent etching fine art paper.

Fine Art Prints of the “Past Works”

These are printed on 24″ x 30″ and other sizes as indicated on each print page. The variation is determined by the proportions of the canvas original and the original size of the painting. Much of the work I’ve done is produced on a three x four ration canvas – 12″ x 16″, 24″ x 30″, 30″ x 40″, and 36″ x 48″. Some works are slightly different, 28″ x 22″, for example. See the individual listing for each painting.

The prints are made on the same Hahnemühle heavy etching paper or equivalent using archival inks. There is a border around the outside edge to allow the print to be framed with the signature and date showing, and to allow the print to be placed in a frame without a matt if desired. Where possible I’ve accommodated standard frame sizes. I’ve had good results from Aaron Brothers frames in California, finding a ready-made frame that is heavy enough and looks good.

Costs and Shipping, Refunds

The cost for prints reflects the actual cost at the printer. Over half the cost is in paper and ink and print expertise. A print is only as good as the digital image taken of the original painting. These prints are made from digital images captured with a Canon 5D Mk II camera with a 50mm Zeiss EF lens using polarized light and a circular polarizing filter to reduce glare.

These are printed as they are ordered, so shipping can be two weeks+ from when you place the order. I will let you know a ship date within a couple of days of when the order is placed.
